An artist who also writes like this — that’s a real rarity. I have a deep love for symbolists. Respect

“Dawn”, Larisa Ruy
60×110 cm, oil, acrylic, sculptural painting on canvas, author’s technique, 2020.
The painting has been sold. It is now part of a private collection in Ukraine.
Despite its visual realism, this work belongs to symbolic art.
Its essence lies not in the pharmacological properties of herbs, nor in mystical folklore —
but in the creation of a semantic field, where symbols and images influence the inner state of the viewer.
Every painting carries transformative energy.
But “Dawn” is a conscious tool — for those who can see not just shapes, but the energy within.
Color, texture, composition rhythm act as "anchors," guiding one into a state of clarity, awakening hidden strength, and dissolving unnecessary emotional patterns.
It is not just a depiction of a sunrise.
It is a portal — into freedom, renewal, and inner ascent.
Herbs depicted:
poppy, celandine, clover, yarrow, coltsfoot, datura, aconite, burdock, cornflower, wheat, lovage, pea, wormwood, sage, plantain, verbena, lemon balm, nettle, dandelion, shepherd’s purse, mandrake, wild carrot, sweet clover, chicory, veronica spicata.
