The symbolism of the Ukrainian wreath has not lost its relevance over the centuries. The power of herbs has always fascinated people. Herbs were used to heal, protect themselves, and decorate their homes. Herbs, like a sign for a person, are plants that grow near the house and are able to heal the inhabitants of the manor. Thistle and chicory symbolized protection, forget-me-not - a mandatory flower of the Ukrainian wreath, a symbol of love. Sage is a symbol of wisdom and longevity, clover is a symbol of luck, and wheat is a symbol of abundance. By weaving such a wreath, people not only enjoyed the beauty of plants, but also supported the faith and traditions of the Ukrainian people by adding a sacred pattern to it - embroidered.
