An artist who also writes like this — that’s a real rarity. I have a deep love for symbolists. Respect

“The Victorious Branch” – a manifesto of invincibility and life
Size: 70 × 100 cm
Technique: bas-relief
Year: 2022
In this work, I address the theme of life that overcomes destruction. The painting “The Victorious Branch” is a profound symbol of the invincibility of the Ukrainian people, who, despite the war, lost cities and destroyed homes, are able to be reborn like nature in spring.
A dried-up branch, seemingly destroyed by the war, sprouts through the ashes, bricks, and destroyed walls. Its delicate flowers are life that continues. This is a cult of eternal renewal – of struggle, loss, but also rebirth.
The unique technique of bas-relief combined with painting gives the painting tactile reality: the branch protrudes beyond the canvas, as if breaking out of the world of destruction into the space of a new future.
This painting is the embodiment of hope that no war can destroy.
Symbolism of the work:
A broken wall is a past full of pain, lost stories and sacrifices.
A branch growing through the ruins is rebirth, invincibility, renewal.
Flowers against the backdrop of a destroyed wall are the eternal cycle of life, the victory of nature and spirit over death.
The combination of dark and light shades is a contrast of war and peace, pain and hope.
The words accompanying the painting reinforce its concept:
When the war is over
A withered branch will bloom again
And a charred wall from ashes
Will leave pain, but memory forever
And there will be a new day again, and the gardens will bloom again
And the memory of a thousand people
Will fall silent forever in the walls..

This work is not just a painting, but an artifact of an era, a document of history in the form of art. It symbolizes not only the war and the reconstruction of Ukraine, but also the universal code of human resilience and rebirth.
The painting is unique (made in a single copy) and has the potential to become part of museum or private collections that collect works with a deep historical and social context.
This is a work that sounds like the voice of centuries, the voice of people who always choose the light even after the darkest times.
